06/12/2013 - HS BASEBALL - Hounds Sweep Chiefs

The FM Bloodhound varsity boys baseball team traveled to Keokuk Monday night, June 10th to take on the Chiefs in a Southeast Conference doubleheader at Joyce Park.  The Hounds swept the Chiefs 17-0 and 13-4.  Hound Highlights:  The Hounds took care of business right away with a 3-0 lead in the first inning. They continued on with two runs in the third and then three runs in the fourth.  Really puting the game away with nine runs in the sixth inning.  Leading the way for the Hounds was John Nagel going 3 for 4 with a triple, three RBI's and scoring four times.  Jonathon Temenak was 2 for 2 with a double.  Collin Eaves was 2 for 4 with a double and four RBI's.  Jacob Goldstick went 1 for 2 with a double and three RBI's.  Ryley Basham went 1 for 4 with a double and two RBI's.  Collin Eaves was the winning pitcher allowing five hits in five innings and finished with six strikeouts.  Ryley Basham pitched one inning of relief allowing two hits and had two strike outs.  More later for game two. 

Jonathan Temenak went 3 for 4 with a double and four RBI’s.  Miles Wentzien was 3 for 5 with a triple and two runs scored. Nagel was 2 for 3 with a double, a RBI and two runs scored. Collin Eaves was 2 for 4 with two RBI’s. Tate Pumphrey was 2 for 5 a double and two RBI’s.  Jordan Brecount was 2 for 4 while scoring twice.  Jacob Riley had a double with two RBI’s.  Temenak pitched 4 1 /3 innings and was credited with the win allowing two runs on two hits while walking three and strucking out seven.  Ryley Basham allowed three hits in 2 2/3 innings. He walked one and struck out two.  Way to Go Hounds!!!
