- HS VOLLEYBALL - SE Conference Honors
The FM Bloodhound girl’s volleyball team Amber Dilsaver earned Southeast Conference Player of the Year honors, and the Lady Hounds took four of the seven first-team spots chosen by the league’s five coaches. The Lady Hounds went unbeaten in taking the league title. Along with Dilsaver, setter Leigh Johnson, hitter Kaeli Hutson and libero Josie Pumphrey made the first team. Seniors Brittiney Harris and Chayse Lowney made the second team. Courtney Woodley and Kamryn Bailey received honorable mention. Also on the first team were: Shelby Heston and Kaylee Watson of runner-up Fairfield and Abbie Liechty of Mount Pleasant. Also on the second team were: Danae Drish, Alison Godwin and Kara Jeffrey of Fairfield, Ashlee Menke of Mount Pleasant and Olivia Postl of Washington.
The Lady Hounds had nine players make all-academic, for juniors and seniors with a 3.25 grade point average and higher: Dilsaver, Johnson, Harris, Lowney, Woodley, Bailey, Samantha Dunbar, Payton Jarvis and McKenna Fehseke.
Dilsaver easily led the Ladies in kills with 373 with a .296 kill efficiency. She led in blocks with 75. Johnson posted 780 assists for 9.6 per game. She also had 32 blocks, second on the team.
Hutson had 123 kills and served 97 percent with 29 aces. She was second on the team in digs with 208. Pumphrey led in digs with 290. She served 92 percent with a team-high 52 aces.
Harris had a .221 percentage and 96 kills. Lowney served 92 percent with 44 aces and made 204 digs.
Woodley made 179 kills. Bailey served 93 percent with 51 aces.
The Lady Hounds were 22-9 on the season. Congratulations !!!
